The 38th edition of Pole Vault on the Pier in Sopot is approaching.
On June 7 and 8, Skwer Kuracyjny will host a pole vaulting festival. This may be a symbolic changing of the guard in men’s competition, as young talents are becoming increasingly bold in their pursuit of laurels.
On Saturday, June 7, at 3:00 p.m., the youth competition will begin, and on Sunday, at 12:00 p.m., the female pole vaulters will take center stage. Among them will be Emilia Kusy (4.25 m) from Sopot and Maja Chamot (4.20 m) from Bielsko-Biała. At 4:30 p.m., the men will enter the arena. Among them: Matt Ludwig (USA), the world ranking leader among participants (5.83 m), Valentin Lavillenie, the younger brother of the legendary Renaud. And Polish competitors Robert Sobera and Michał Gawenda, who is already considered one of the greatest talents of the young generation.
