On Sunday, June 15, STAN SUROWY sparkled with excitement, glances, conversations, and images. Last Sunday, the opening of Weronika Tlałka’s exhibition entitled “Everything I see in my eyes. I just don’t know if I want it” took place. This event was not only a presentation of the diploma of a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk, but also a strong signal that the Sopot Promenade is entering a new cultural chapter.

We say this with pride: “We are starting to happen. The PROMENADA SOPOCKA is taking on character – not only as a place for culinary and entertainment experiences, but also as a space for art, meetings, and emotions.” – Anna Maj, Marketing Manager
What is this exhibition about?
About eyes that see. About emotions that remain within us. About faces – hidden, deformed, sincere. About dreams that keep us awake. Weronika Tlałka invites us into the world of her paintings and graphics, which are like a personal diary of emotions. The painting part of the exhibition touches on states that are difficult to describe in words – anger, anxiety, tenderness, fleeting moments. The series of graphics, on the other hand, is a journey through nightmares – dark but fascinating. As if someone had looked into the darkest corners of the subconscious and left a flashlight there.

As the artist Weronika Tlałka herself says:
“It’s a bit of a thesis about me, but I believe that everyone can find a part of themselves and emotions they have experienced in at least one of my works.”
Why is it worth coming?
Because this is where it’s happening. Because STAN SUROWY is not just a raw wall and concrete – it’s a stage on which we are just beginning to write a new story for PROMENADA SOPOCKA. Because it’s a place where you can stop, feel, and see something real. Something that stays with you long after you leave.
Weronika Tlałka’s exhibition is open every day – drop in, even for a moment. See through the artist’s eyes what you may not want to see in yourself. Or what you may want to see very much.
