Starting November 15, 2025, the Stan Surowy gallery at Promenada Sopocka will present “JACKPOT” – the latest project by Filip Ignatowicz, an artistic commentary on contemporary consumer culture, the art market, and the mechanisms of instant gratification.
The works on display are monumental painted replicas of scratch cards – an ironic and thought-provoking reflection on a world driven by chance, desire, and the illusion of quick success. The series merges pop aesthetics with traditional painting, exploring the commodification of art and the phenomenon of mystery boxes.
The exhibition also features the video performance “artUNBOXING” and a series of special artistic actions, to be revealed during the official finissage on November 30.
Instead of a traditional opening, on November 15 at 7:00 PM visitors are invited to a video performance and artist-led tour with Filip Ignatowicz – a unique opportunity to meet the artist and experience his work in action.
JACKPOT is a visual game between winning and losing, originality and imitation, high art and pop culture – full of irony, insight, and contemporary resonance.
